About James Island
The eclectic community of James Island is part of a group of islands known as the west islands which include Folly Beach, John's Island, Wadmalaw Island and Kiawah and Seabrook Islands. Just over the bridge from downtown, James Island is a bohemian beach community flush with fun and casual dining options, beautiful green spaces and parks and plenty of ways to access Charleston's most beautiful waterways by boat, kayak or paddle board.
