About Johns Island
Draped in Spanish moss and connected to civilization by a bridge from both James Island and West Ashley is the tranquil, somewhat rustic community of John's Island. This once sleepy island community is experiencing increased growth bringing in not only new neighborhoods, but great dining owned by world renowned chefs as well as local breweries to compliment the already established island fare. This community is characterized by it's numerous Live Oak trees creating a canopy over most main thoroughfares and it's peaceful, tranquil atmosphere and relaxed lifestyle of it's residents. You'll definitely feel like you're on a rural island, but you're still just a short drive to downtown Charleston and an even shorter drive to James Island.
